Salutations, this is Mikami Teren.

The origin of this greeting, which I've been using since my debut, is naturally from Marimite. I'm a die-hard fan of it. So, it's no exaggeration to say that without Marimite, I wouldn't be where I am today.

From the time I started submitting novels, I've always loved yuri novels. However, the new author prize for light novels had negative rumors such as "Female protagonists are…" or "Yuri is…", and as an aspiring debutante, I didn't have the courage to take the challenge.

However, after my debut, I realized something. If I can't write commercially, why not write it as a doujinshi...? Doujinshi really are godlike! There's no need for afterword or plot rejections!

And so, this is a yuri novel that I've written solely for myself. Honestly, it was a struggle. I fell into the abyss of "What is yuri...?" several times, but after much contemplation, I think I managed to create something that I myself can be satisfied with. The relationships that started in elementary school continue into middle school, high school, and eventually into adulthood. It was impossible to depict the accumulation of years without dedicating an entire book to it. So I hope you can feel the growth of each character.

Now, for the acknowledgements. A sincere thank you to Yuzou Ni-sama, who took on everything from the illustrations to the cover design for this volume. Having watched over Aoi-chan since she was in elementary school (exaggerating), I am truly amazed by the recent improvements in her art.

Also, a perennial thank you to Mr. Komomiya, who handled everything from Desktop Publishing to various other tasks. I also received considerable emotional support from AAA-san, who livened up my twitter timeline with yuri talk when my energy was depleted. And my deepest gratitude to all of humanity who draw yuri manga, and to Oyuki Konno-sensei!
